How UCP Radar Works

From connecting your store to deploying an optimized feed — the whole process takes under 10 minutes. Then it runs itself.

Step 1

Connect Google Merchant Center

Log in with Google and authorize UCP Radar to read your Merchant Center account. All your products import automatically — no CSV uploads, no copy-pasting.

Setup time: Under 30 seconds.
Step 2

Scan & Score Every Product

UCP Radar runs two independent scans on your entire catalog simultaneously:

GMC Score (Google compliance)

Checks 50+ rules from Google's product data specification — titles, GTINs, price format, image quality, category mapping, shipping attributes, and more. Flags exactly which products have issues and why.

UCP Score (AI discoverability, 0–100)

Scores each product for how well AI shopping agents — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overview, Claude, Gemini — can understand and recommend it. Most feeds start at 25–40. After optimization, products typically reach 90+.

Step 3

AI Rewrites & Enriches Your Feed

With one click (or automatically on a schedule), UCP Radar rewrites every product using its AI optimization engine. The Brand Protector safelist runs first — brand names, model numbers, and SKUs are locked before AI touches anything.

Step 4

Optimized Feed Goes Live

UCP Radar generates a supplemental feed — not a replacement for your primary feed. Google merges both automatically when you add the supplemental feed URL to your GMC account. Your existing data pipeline stays untouched.

  • Google Merchant Center feed — hosted XML URL you paste into GMC once
  • Server-Rendered JSON-LD — optimized Schema.org structured data for your own store pages, with one-click Shopify, WooCommerce, and custom-site integration (Growth tier and up)
  • ChatGPT Shopping Feed — a spec-compliant product feed for OpenAI's ChatGPT Shopping (Growth tier and up)

Google Shopping and Performance Max campaigns start picking up the enriched attributes immediately. No re-submission, no approval wait — supplemental feeds merge within hours.

Step 5

Set It and Forget It

With Auto-Optimize Mode (any paid plan), UCP Radar polls your GMC account daily. When products change — new items added, prices updated, descriptions edited — only those products get re-optimized. The rest stay untouched.

Your supplemental feed regenerates automatically after every run. Nothing to manage.

What to Expect

Typical results after one full optimization pass on a mid-size catalog:

Metric Before After
UCP Score 25–40 / 100 90+ / 100
Product Title "Blue Shirt Men" "Premium Sapphire Blue 100% Cotton Men's Casual Dress Shirt — Breathable & Lightweight"
Attributes Missing: color, size, material Auto-filled: Color=Blue, Material=Cotton, Size=M–XXL
Product Tags None 5–10 tags: "men's shirt", "casual", "cotton", "breathable", "office wear"
GMC Score 65 / 100 78 / 100

Note: GMC Score and UCP Score measure different things. A product can pass GMC review (score 70+) but still be invisible to AI shopping agents if its description lacks context, attributes are sparse, or no tags exist. Both scores matter.
